this is real.

first, jon stewart called out fox news and sean hannity for what appeared to be misleading viewers about the number of protesters in attendence at a rally.

then, sean hannity apologized and called it an “accident.”

really? how does that accidentally happen?

“hey, we didn’t get enough footage of the rally today.”

“oh that’s ok, just use some from a different rally.”

really? i’m skeptical. people reporting news shouldn’t make this kind of error, mistake or not.

apologizing was a good move. writing it off as an accident leaves them at square one.

watching this made me a little less grumpy about the state of politics, social norms, and the future.

to an extent, we all know, understand, and identify with the idea of this speech. where is the disconnect?  what on earth are we supposed to do to change?

there is always the “participate” strategy.  however, these days, it seems like it’s getting harder and harder to get people to participate.  have we initialized a positive feedback loop with apathy at its output?

i really hope not.

Pumpkin porridge. “Juk” means “porridge.” This was a very thick,
filling, colorful, and sweet soup with rice cakes and beans in it. It
was of course serves with side dishes, in this case “mul kimshi,” red
kimshi, and some strips of beef.
